Position title:  Marine Mammal Observer on the R/V Marcus Langseth's seismic cruises
Agency/Location: Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory's Office of Marine Operation Columbia University, New York Responsibilities:
  • Shakedown and equipment test, Galveston/Galveston. July 15 through August 3.
  • Calibration of sound source arrays, Glaveston to Galveston. August 5 through Sep 3.
  • Eastern Tropical Pacific, Panama to Panama. Sep 26 through Nov 16.
  • East Pacific Rise, Panama to Panama. Nov 21 through Dec 23.
Please note that the dates may vary somewhat due to operational exigencies.  We will continue with additional seismic cruises through 2008.
