Job Description
|
Reporting
to the Project Manager, the individual provides laboratory, field and
technical support for the real-time operation of the Coastal Ocean
Observatory Laboratory (COOL). The individual analyzes raw data to
ensure accurate and proper operation of the underwater electric glider
fleet, and assists in the maintenance and calibration of the glider
fleet. The data collected by these instruments has expanded beyond
research, but also to education and outreach to the general public to
include applications funded through the Office of Naval Research (ONR),
the Department of Defense (DoD) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA).

Job Requirements
|
Requires
a B.S. in engineering, computer science, or related fields or an
equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience in
applications programming, ocean engineering or electrical engineering,
and a physical science background are all desirable. Must have good
communication and computer skills.
