 The Marine Technology Society 2012 Scholarship Program is now open to students who are interested in Marine Engineering, Marine Technology and the Oceans.
The Marine Technology Society (MTS) is pleased to offer thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who are studying a marine science/engineering/technology field. There are scholarships available for both MTS members and non-members. Open to MTS members with an interest in marine instrumentation who
are undergraduates and graduate students currently enrolled full time in
an academic institution.

Dieter Family Travel Scholarship |
Conference registration
and travel-related expenses to attend the Student Leadership
Meeting at the OCEANS'11 MTS/IEEE Kona (Hawaii) Conference in September.

Open to MTS members who are college undergraduate and graduate
students currently enrolled full time in a marine-related field.

ROV Scholarship |
Up to $10,000 |
Open to any students interested in remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) or underwater work that furthers the use of ROVs.

Open to any students interested in remotely operated vehicles
(ROVs) or underwater work that furthers the use of ROVs; graduating high
school students (college students may apply for this scholarship, but
they must be MTS members)

Open to high school seniors who have been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program |
*Membership in MTS is open to all college students and can be purchased for just $25 a year. The benefits are the same as for a professional member.

- No books or brochures about the college you will be attending.
- Essays over 500 words will NOT be accepted.
- Only ONE letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor within two years of study.
- Only ONE letter of reference from someone that is NOT a teacher or counselor.
- No staples.
- No bindings or binders.
- No photographs attached to the application.
- No colored paper.
