Plans for a new building are underway
Today’s complex world challenges require multi-faceted solutions for sustainable development, alternative energy production, improved resiliency to extreme events, and management of food resources, including fisheries. Rutgers scientists who study the Earth and its oceans and atmosphere as an interactive system contribute to the understanding of and possible solutions to these challenges. Plans are underway to bring together these scientists on the Cook campus in a specially designed complex to facilitate interdisciplinary interaction and integrate intellectual and scientific resources.
Preliminary sketches for part of the complex are shown.
