Education: B.E., M.E., Zhejiang University

Research Interests:
Attracted by the magic of macro natural science, I transferred from Fluid Mechanics to Physical Oceanography. My research focuses on Ocean Circulation Models, the general tools to study the physical reasons, properties, and influences of ocean circulation at all scales. Now I am beginning work on developing the 3-D and non-hydrostatic spectral element ocean model, which is new and promising, having the advantages of flexible incorporation of complex geometry and spatially dependent resolution, rapid convergence, and attractive performance on parallel computer systems. And, I hope, in the coming future, I can apply this new model to practical simulation to study the mechanisms of the ocean.

Personal Interests:
Becoming an explorer, like Sven Hedin, has always been my dream and will be forever. I like to spend my free time hiking and traveling in nature. I am also a fan of tennis and badminton. All of these activities relax my body and also energize my spirit.
