Education:
B.S., Texas A&M University
Research Interests:
Toys! Of the scientific nature, of course. More specifically, the development
of scientific instrumentation to increase our understanding about biological
systems. My work focuses on a creating a flow-injection-based technology
to map phosphorus limitation in the Gulf of Mexico. "The Machine"
will analyze extracellular phosphatase activity as a measure of phosphorus
limitation on a real-time, continuous basis.
Personal Interests:
What little time I currently have outside of Rutgers work is spent reading
fantasy and sci-fi, participating in all sorts of outdoor activities (hiking,
camping, caving, canoeing, and other activities that don't start with
"C"), playing various types of games, and performing/composing
music (of the classical sort).
