Mariners Buoy Warning

ATTENTION MARINERS: Please be wary of our research buoys off the coast of Little Egg Inlet. They mark the locations of very delicate instruments attached to the bottom of the ocean. We depend on these instruments to aid us in our research of the coast of New Jersey.

There are several areas off Tuckerton, New Jersey where we deploy buoys. The Rutgers University Marine Field Station (RUMFS), located at the end of Great Bay Boulevard manages these buoys. If you have any questions regarding these buoys, please contact RUMFS at (609) 296-5260.
