Weather Synopsis...

A cold front was located well south of the region, and a 1019mb high was located just south of Hudson Bay. The overall synoptic wind flow for this day was from the north.

Seabreeze Analysis...

The two radar loops below show that the seabreeze fronts move onshore, but do not go very far inland.

Mesoscale Model Discussion...

Not available for this date.

Observations...

The wind direction graph below shows that the wind was coming from the north through midday, then the wind shifted slowly to a southeasterly direction by early afternoon.

SST Discussion...

The SST image below shows some cooler water off the coast of Absecon Island (Atlantic City) and Long Beach Island.

CODAR Information...

The ocean currents were generally onshore throughout the day, which does not tell us much about the seabreeze frontogenesis. One possible exception is that in the last plot (23Z) the currents right near the coastline increase in velocity, possibly indicating the stronger onshore winds from the seabreeze.
