Weather Synopsis...
A 1019mb high preesure area was located over West Virginia. The resultant synoptic wind flow is from the NW.

Seabreeze Analysis...
The following two radar loops from KDIX show the progression of the seabreeze front as it moves onshore.

The graphs of air temperature, wind direction, and relative humidity show that the seabreeze formed quite early in the day, at approximately 0900 local time or 1300Z. The graph of relative humidity for Atlantic City shows a drop in humidity by 25%, followed by a rapid increase of nearly 40% at the time of the seabreeze frontal passage.

SST Discussion...
The below graph of water temperature at Avalon shows that the temperature increased throughout the day, with the most pronounced warming after the seabreeze passed by.

The SST image below shows temperatures relatively stratiform along the coast ranging from 18-21 degrees Celcius.

CODAR Information...
The CODAR plots below are from 0, 13, 20, and 0Z on July 2nd. The first image shows that the current is mainly offshore, except for a SW current along the immediate shore. The 13Z plot shows that most of the vector field had become southwesterly. By 20Z, the entire area had an onshore current due to the SE winds across the coastal waters. The 0Z plot from the 2nd shows that the current had become offshore and was going towards the NE.
