My story:
I was born in the central part of China, went to university in Southwestern China and graduate school in Northern China. My undergraduate major was Atmospheric Science and I switched to Physical Oceanography and Meteorology in my master's years. Generally I have a background in Physics or Fluid Mechanics.
I came to the States in July 2007 for the first time and came to Rutgers in the following August. My advisers are Scott Glenn and Bob Chant. It's a privilege for me to study in COOL, IMCS and I benefit a lot from the friendly atmosphere of Physical Oceanography group and countless help and amazing patience of my advisers. I prefer to do work which I believe will help people by improving our understanding of nature and I'm interested in projects dealing with inter-disciplinary research since I believe it's the way this world works.
Personal Interests:
My favorite thing to do is cooking and it's the best way for me to rest right after work. I also like gardening. And I enjoy outdoor activities a lot, like traveling (sightseeing), hiking, camping, or just walking. When I do exercise alone I go swimming; with companions I like basketball, aerobics and dancing. I enjoy photography mainly because I'm often fascinated by the beauty of nature. I love music and movies though I'm very picky with movies and TVs. And above all, I love reading so I read books I like everyday.
