Modular Ocean Data Assimilation System Nowcasts - July, 1999 (MODAS)

During the last two weeks of our July experiment, the Ocean Monitoring and Prediction System Section of the Naval Research Lab at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi produced ocean forecasts for the New York Bight. This forecast differs from the other MODAS forecasts in that it includes better shallow water support and uses satellite altimetry available from NAVO ADFC.
