Overview

The Newark Bay Project is funded by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to identify the sources of toxins in this system. This study focuses on how toxic levels are related to variations in river discharge. Characterization of the spatial structure of toxins in response to variations in river discharge aided by hydrographic observations will aid in determining sources of toxins. This web site presents some of the results of the hydrographic observations for each of the surveys.
