No matter how you slice it…the LaTTE project is all about the NY-NJ Harbor watershed. A watershed is an area of land that drains to a common waterway, such as a stream, lake, estuary, wetland, or even the ocean. Watersheds come in all shapes and sizes. They cross county, state, and national boundaries.

LaTTE scientists will be studying the Hudson River watershed and will conduct experiments to understand how nutrients and contaminants in the Hudson River interact with the Atlantic Ocean. Teachers and students can use the links below to learn more about watersheds, ocean currents, and ocean organisms.
