 ATMOSPHERE --- Man, I thought yesterday was bad. Today was even worse. 3 inches of rain, visibilites below 1/4 mile at times. Winds were east-north-east for most of the day with temps around 70F.

OCEAN -- Downwelling, mixing. Downwelling, mixing still... The cold bottom water is now at least 20 km off shore. Surface currents are to the southwest. This sequence of storms should prove interesting for optics once the skies clear. Boats, planes, satellites and moorings should all be out there tomorrow sampling the murky green water. Everything, top to bottom, within 20 km of shore, is a fairly homogeneous watermass.
