ATMOSPHERE -- Great morning, not so great afternoon. Winds were from the southwest all day, from 15 to 20 knots. Temperatures were in the 70s. A thunderstorm front came through late, but made no signifant change in temperature or humidity.

OCEAN -- The surface currents were mostly offshore. The sea surface temperature images shows that the intense cold water has indeed submerged below a warmer surface layer, though the water near shore is still 2-3 degrees C cooler than offshore waters.
