Since both species and environmental data are georeferenced within the system, they can be easily combined for analysis and display. All or any set of species can be combined with each other and various environmental overlays. The region of interest can be adjusted from a global view to any regional view. Colors of the environmental overlays can be adjusted to highlight interesting values or to display only certain values. The symbols used to represent species records can also be adjusted to show taxa aggregated to Genus or higher rank, various species, the depth at which the specimen was found, etc. All these changes are easy to make once the data is in the system. The possibilities are limited by the data available and by the scientists imagination.
